LearningExpress Library does not recognize me as a registered user. What do I do?

If you registered previously, please be certain that you are using the correct username. If you are, then it is possible that you are not logging in with the correct password. To obtain a new password, click the "Forgot password?" link in the Sign in to your account section on the lower right side of the library homepage, and follow the instructions provided.

It is also possible that you are attempting to log in through an incorrect link. Try logging in from the authenticated link on your institution’s website.

It is also possible that you did not register successfully the first time. Please attempt to register again as a new user by clicking the “Register” button in the upper or lower right corner of the landing page, verifying your institution, entering your information in the required fields, and clicking “Create Account.”

I forgot my username. How do I retrieve it?

Your username cannot be retrieved or reset. It is the email address you used to create your account, and it is displayed in “User Settings” under the “Help” tab. If you selected the alternate registration (no email) option, your username is a 3–10 character sequence. If you cannot recall your username, please create a new account by re-registering as a new user.

How do I change my username?

Your username cannot be changed. You can only change your password. If your username/email address is no longer valid, please create a new account by re-registering as a new user with a new username/email address, or by selecting the “Register without Email” link on the registration screen.

I’m attempting to register as a new user but I keep getting prompted to enter a library card or a product key. Why?

It is likely that you are attempting to register from an unauthenticated link. Make sure you are registering from the authenticated link on your institution’s website. If you are, and you’re still being prompted for a library card or product key, and (1) your library card is not recognized, and (2) your institution does not have a LearningExpress product key, please ask your librarian to contact LearningExpress Customer Service at Libraries@LearningExpressLLC.com to make sure the account is set up correctly.

How do I search for resources on this site?

Enter a search term in the field located on the top right of the page. You may search the entire library or a single center, and your search results may be further filtered by tests, tutorials, or eBooks.

I’m not sure where to begin. Where do I start and how do I make the best use of the resources on the site?

A great place to start is by watching our helpful video user guides, which can be accessed through the “User Guides” drop down menu on the landing page of LearningExpress Library. You can watch the full video or focus on a single topic. This video shows you how to take advantage of everything LearningExpress Library has to offer including how to create a new account, login to the library, move around quickly, search for and use our products, use your personal portfolio page, and get help.

Our extensive content is conveniently organized into Centers, which are large groups of related content. You can view all of these centers on the main library landing page, or by selecting a center from the “All Centers” drop down menu in the blue bar on your screen. Simply select one of the Center icons to begin exploring. Once you are in a Center, the “Guidance” tab is the best place to start. It provides helpful information, recommends appropriate resources, and outlines a structured path to academic achievement and/or career success.

How do I start a test or tutorial?

Once you’re logged in, navigate to the test or tutorial you want to use and click “Launch.” To retake a test or tutorial that you have already saved to your portfolio, click the “My Center” link in the upper right corner of any page, and then click “Start New Test” or "Start Tutorial." Before you begin any test or tutorial, it's very important to take a few minutes to read the instructions, to be sure you get the most from your experience.

How do I save my work if I have not completed a test or tutorial?

Click the "Save and Finish Later" button at the top of the page to save your work.

How long are the tests?

Each test varies in the number of questions, types of questions, and test length. Clicking on the name of a test will display a detailed description of the test.

Why are some tests timed?

Some of our tests are practices for official examinations, such as the ACT® exam. For these types of resources, we provide the amount of time allotted for the official test. By taking a timed test, you can learn how to pace yourself and not spend too much time on any one section, to help you prepare for the official exam.

How do I access my completed tests?

Your completed tests can be accessed through the “My Center" tab. You can always return to them by clicking on "My Center" and then clicking "View Score Report" or "Review Answers."

How do I go back to finish a test?

If you cannot complete a test in one sitting, you have the ability to click the "Save and Finish Later" button. You can then go back to finish your test at a later time by going to the "My Center" tab and selecting "Resume" for that test.

How many times can I take a test?

You can retake a test as many times as you wish, regardless of the test mode you choose.

How many times can I use/download an eBook?

You can use or download an eBook an unlimited number of times.

How many times can I review a tutorial?

You have unlimited access to tutorials.

What are Test Modes?

You can take most tests in one of three modes; Practice, Simulation, and Learner. The Learner mode allows you to view the answers to the questions as you go along to help you study. The Simulation mode simulates an actual testing environment. If the exam is timed, it will end when the timer is up. The Practice mode will enable you to take the timed test, but if time displayed, it is not enforced. If the timer runs out, you are not prevented from completing the test. The timer is only intended to help you pace yourself in preparation for real testing situations.

Why do I have to choose a Test Mode?

We recognize that users of our products have different learning needs. As such, we provide three different test modes to cater to those needs. Selecting the appropriate test mode will ensure that you make the most out of your learning experience.

What is the Learner mode?

The Learner mode allows you to view the answers to the test questions as you go along to help you study.

What is the Simulation mode?

The Simulation mode simulates an actual testing environment. If the exam is timed, it will end when the timer is up.

What is the Practice mode?

The Practice mode will enable you to take a timed test, but if time displayed, it is not enforced. If the timer runs out, you are not prevented from completing the test. The timer is only intended to help you pace yourself in preparation for true testing situations.

How do I score a test?

Once you have completed a test, click the "Score My Test" button at the bottom of the page.

Do the scores on the practice exams reflect the official exam scores?

The test scores are presented as a percentage of correct answers (e.g., 75% correct out of a possible 100%). If the test scores for the actual exams are presented differently, our percentage results will be roughly equated. Test-specific scoring information is provided in the personal score report you receive at the completion of each test.

How will this help me to prepare for the real exam?

Our practice tests are based on real exams. Therefore, you will gain confidence in your knowledge of the type of material you need to know prior to taking the real exam.

Is my score private? Who else has access?

If you are a patron of a library and have created an account through your library’s subscription, then your score is private and only accessible by you. If you are a student of a college, university, or workforce center that subscribes to LearningExpress and have created an account through your institution, then your scores may be viewed by faculty and administrators of your institution.

Will my e-mail address be used for solicitation or mailing?

No, we do not use or share this information. It is only used to e-mail you a reminder if you've forgotten your password and to inform you of any major updates to our site that may impact your account.

Can I print out my results?

Yes, you are able to print your score report page by choosing "File" on your toolbar and then selecting "Print."
